Manchester United are expected to still pay Mason Greenwood his full salary amid allegations of abuse, according to reports. On Sunday, a woman uploaded pictures to social media alleging the England international had caused her harm. As part of the allegations the 20-year-old was mentioned in a series of posts that showed graphic detail of injuries she claimed to have been inflicted by the Red Devils forward.
United released a statement on Greenwood yesterday that read: “We are aware of images and allegations circulating on social media.
“We will not make any further comment until the facts have been established.

Greater Manchester Police confirmed ‘enquiries’ were being made and later released a statement that read: “Greater Manchester Police was made aware earlier today (Sunday 30 January) of online social media images and videos posted by a woman reporting incidents of physical violence.
An investigation was launched and following enquiries we can confirm a man in his 20s has since been arrested on suspicion of rape and assault.
“He remains in custody for questioning. Enquiries are ongoing.”
Now, The Athletic say United haven’t officially suspended Greenwood.
And they’re expected to pay the 20-year-old his full salary, believed to be close to £100,000-a-week.
The publication notes that ‘nothing has emerged from United to suggest otherwise’.
The club are said to be wary of affecting any legal process at the current moment in time, instead allowing the authorities to do their job
