Solskjaer continued:
‘If we’re going to be successful together, we know that we need a positive energy.’
‘We can’t have any sulkers, but Donny has never affected his team-mates negatively.’
‘As soon as I see players affecting the team negatively that’s a different scenario and I’ll probably be a little bit firmer.’
The Brazilian is believed to have set Spurs back €30m, and was also said to have attracted interest from Spurs’ north London rivals, Arsenal, over the summer:
Since making the switch to Tottenham, Emerson has not had the best of times.
The right-back featured for 90 minutes vs Crystal Palace on his debut, coming in for heavy criticism from fans as his new side went on to lose 3-0.
Emerson would also start in the Lilywhites’ 3-0 loss to Chelsea, before being brought on at half-time as Tottenham lost 3-1 vs Arsenal in their last league outing.Emerson’s guarantee to Tottenham fans
Emerson’s last appearance would come off the bench vs Mura in the Europa Conference League on Thursday, with the defender no doubt keen to be backing the starting line-up this weekend vs Aston Villa.
Before that game, Emerson has spoken out about moving to Spurs. When doing so, the full-back issued a guarantee to supporters that he will give his all to help drive the club back where it belongs:
“I know I’ve moved to a massive club in the biggest league in world football. This is an excellent team, full of good professionals, and it’s a team that is capable of competing and finishing high up in the table.
“This is what the project means to me. I have the desire to develop at this club and they have made me feel wanted. I’m very grateful to them for bringing me here.
“I can guarantee supporters that I will give my all to help drive the club back to where I feel it belongs – in the top positions, as well as in cup competitions.”

Chelsea are one of the top European clubs interested in Ajax and Dutch starlet, Ryan Gravenberch, according to reports stemming from Spain.Ryan Gravenberch’s Ajax stint
Gravenberch is just one of countless talents to have emerged from the famed Ajax academy over the years.
At just 19 years of age, he is still very raw, and has a lot to learn in the footballing world.
But, despite his tender years, the Amsterdam-born midfielder has already begun to garner regular minutes with Ajax’s senior side.
After impressing at youth level, Gravenberch was promoted to the club’s first-team setup during the 2019/20 campaign.
And the Dutchman went on to float in and out of Erik ten Hag’s squad.
The last 12 months+, though, have seen the youngster firmly cement himself in Ajax’s midfield ranks.
All told, Gravenberch has featured 71 times for the Eredivisie giants’ senior side to date.
And across these appearances, the seven-time capped Netherlands international has racked up 10 goals and eight assists.Chelsea linked with Ryan Gravenberch
Now, as mentioned above, reports stemming from Spain have credited Chelsea with an interest in Gravenberch.
According to football.london, citing Spanish outlet Fichajes, Chelsea are reportedly competing with Barcelona and Juventus for the signing of Gravenberch.
Ajax are said to be set to demand €75m for his signature.

Chelsea’s reported interest in Gravenberch comes at a time when the Blues do seem to be eyeing fresh legs in midfield.
Jorginho will be 30 later this year, whilst N’Golo Kante is also getting on and becoming fairly injury-prone.
Granted, Chelsea did sign Saul Niguez on loan from Atletico Madrid over the summer, but he is yet to impress in a Chelsea shirt.
Chelsea vs Southampton
Chelsea are back in Premier League action on Saturday the 2nd of October.
The Blues are set to host Southampton as they look to bounce back from their recent losses.
Chelsea were handed their first defeat of the season by Manchester City in the Premier League last week.
The Londoners then fell to Juventus by the same scoreline, 1-0, in the Champions League earlier this week.
Southampton, though, should be a much easier task for Chelsea to navigate. The Saints have not won a single Premier League game this term, instead drawing four and losing two.
