Osimhen can challenge others for Serie A golden shoe – Aina

Ola Aina is convinced Super Eagles teammate Victor Osimhen can challenge other top players for the top goal scorer award in the Serie A this season.

Osimhen has netted four goals in six Serie A games for table-topping Napoli this season.

The striker netted three goals in two Europa League games for Luciano Spalletti’s side this season.

Speaking about Osimhen’s blistering start to the season,  Aina, who is on the payroll of Italian side Torino, told Brila FM that the striker can challenge for the individual honors. 

“I think this season as you can see he has come into his stride and I think he can do very well in the league and can challenge for that top goal scorer of the season.”

“He’s a very good lad and he’s on top of his game at the moment. So I think, he will have a good season” He told Brila FM.

Meanwhile, Aina and Osimhen are in the Super Eagles camp for the World Cup qualifying match Central African Republic.

Nigeria will take on Central African Republic on Thursday, before traveling to Douala for the return leg of Group C 2022 World Cup encounter.
